Insurance Coverage for our Services
Some insurance companies do cover some of the services at Boise Natural Health, but many companies do not. Payment is due at time of service. We provide you with “insurance ready” forms that include ICD and CPT codes for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to see if our services are covered under your plan.
We accept all Flexible Spending Accounts or Health Savings Accounts cards which can be used for pre-tax dollar savings.
No Surprise Billing
BNHC’s intent is to always be clear about what fees you can expect at our clinic. Our fees are clearly listed on our web page and at your request, we will inform you of expected fees for services and health care items, orally, in writing, or in electronic form.
24-hour notice is required for cancellation. If no notice is received ahead of time, you will be billed for the full price of the visit. If notice is given with less than twenty-four hours, you will be charged half price. Call 208-338-0405 to cancel.

Portal Messaging Fee Policy
We strive to make our care as convenient as possible for our patients. Nowadays, patient care doesn’t always take place in an office visit and we are pleased to provide portal messaging with your naturopathic physician as one of several ways you can receive care.
No fee is charged if answering your portal question takes less than 5 minutes. But if your question is complex, your doctor may give you the choice of scheduling a visit or charging your credit card on file. $35 – 50, depending on the length of time it takes them to answer.
Examples of messages that may be charged:
- A new issue or symptoms requiring clinical assessment, ordering a test or referral
- Adjusting medications
- Chronic disease check-in
- Flare-up or change in chronic condition
- Request to complete a form
Examples of messages that won’t be charged:
- Request for a prescription refill
- Request to schedule an appointment
- Message that leads your doctor to recommend a visit
- Follow-up care from a recent visit where your doctor asked you to report back thru the portal
- Update for your doctor when no response is needed
- Message that takes only a few minutes to answer
