Specialty Labs offered at BNHC

One of the tools that naturopathic physicians can offer patients is specialty and functional testing that is not offered in conventional medical practices.
Hormone Testing
We use either blood or saliva to monitor sex and adrenal hormones including estrogen(s), progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, and cortisol levels. Thyroid hormones and antibodies are tested through blood.

Chronic Infection – Lyme & Coinfections
Lyme and co-infections are often underdiagnosed in patients. This is partly because practitioners are not aware that the bacteria that causes Lyme has been found in all 50 states, but also that the standard labs are not as sensitive in detecting the infections. For more sensitive testing beyond the abilities of standard labs, we use Igenix, often seen as the gold standard in tick borne illness detection.
